The Shaman’s Collective is dedicated to supporting the worldwide community of shamanic practitioners from a variety of lineages. We believe in growing and sharing our wisdom through courses, community and ceremonies that enable healers and energy medicine practitioners to deepen their medicine path. Join us in a conscious community of people who share their gifts with the world!
The word Shaman comes from the Siberian Tungusic Evenki language of North Asia. It was subsequently used by Western anthropologists to described similar practices in other parts of the world. Other cultures have different names for their medicine men and women. In the Q’ero tradition of Southern Peru, for example, the medicine men and women are revered as P’aqos.
We use the word as it has been incorporated into the English language to mean a medicine person who enters different states of consciousness to perceive and help people heal at a soul level.
